When operating your Govee lights with your remote you should make sure that the insulation strip has been removed from the remote. Also ensure that the bulb is not within a shielded container and that you are in the same room as the bulb. If this doesn’t work, try replacing the batteries in your remote as low power is often a cause of the problem.

Being too far from the Wi-Fi source. Please ensure that your bulb is within 50 feet of the source before attempting to connect.

The bulb isn’t powered on. Before attempting to connect, you should ensure that the bulb is powered on. You should turn the bulb on and off five times, allowing it to enter breathing mode, before trying to connect.
